Remember those Christmas days when you were young and dressed up as a shepherd in your dad's bathrobe and a towel tied around your head, or as a sheep in a white sheet, and some others played Mary and Joseph and the angels? We tried it for the very first time for every Russian who came to our apartment to FHE tonight. It turned into a rollicking, riotous, and heartwarming evening, followed by three discussions with new investigators. Even though one young man read aloud the Christmas story from Luke and Matthew, in Russian, they still had no traditional conception of the parts they were playing. But they eagerly embraced the opportunity and played their parts with gusto. What delightful and sweet people. They never turn their noses up at an opportunity like this. Instead, they embrace it. What a joy they are to us.
