Transfer days are exciting and sad. Exciting to get new missionaries into our area, and verrrry sad to lose missionaries we have already come to love so much. Two of these sisters left us the day after this photo was taken, so we fed them dinner on this night, and had a delightful time. A threesome of sisters came to discuss plans before the two transferees left. Those three were tired from a long day of searching for someone to teach. PLUS a young investigator who had called to ask for another lesson showed up at our apartment at the same time. Heavenly timing? After our two beloved transferees left, we were very pleased to share in the gospel discussion with the young woman. We shared in the joy felt by the sisters when that young woman testified that she had read the Book of Mormon this week, had prayed fervently to God for an answer, and had been spiritually assured that the Book of Mormon is truly from God and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet. You can imagine how uplifted the sisters felt!
